Mozambique
Located in the warm crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean just a few hours flight from South Africa, boat transfers await to connect you to a variety of secluded resort hideaways. "Here, the sand is so clean it squeaks when you walk on it and the coral reefs are said to be amongst the best-preserved in the world" Conde Nast Traveller

The Portuguese influence is still apparent on the mainland and the capital, Maputo, has many places of historical and cultural interest to explore, as well as restaurants specialising in seafood for which Mozambique is famous. BUT the prime attraction remains the islands off the coast, particularly the Bazaruto Archipelago, consisting of four islands, the best known being Bazaruto and Benguerra, with its long, white, pristine, sandy beaches, clear turquoise seas and spectacular coral reefs. It is one of the largest national parks in the Indian Ocean and when diving or snorkelling you may see manta rays and dugongs, and even have the chance to swim with dolphins. In the North The Quirimbas Archipelago consists of 32 coral islands stretching from Pemba (the capital of Cabo Delgado Province) to the Rovuma River, which forms the natural frontier between Tanzania and Mozambique. The area has never been developed and remains an unexplored tourist paradise.

A rising star of Southern African tourism, Mozambique boasts a wealth of island-based attractions, from silver, palm-fringed beaches and teeming reefs to towering sand dunes and forest-clad interiors.

Wherever you travel you will experience Mozambique's unique blend of African, Arabian and Portuguese influences - particularly noticeable in the spicy cuisine and the hot Latin beat of the local music. As you laze in your dhow at sunset you will be glad you chose to discover these exquisite islands before the rest of the world catches on.

Combine your Mozambique beach holiday with a luxury safari in either Tanzania, following the great migration or South Africa - both of which have stunning Game viewing opportunities. We will be pleased to advise and arrange all the necessary transfers to ensure you have the perfect holiday.
